An exceptional opportunity exists for a commercially astute, high-impact executive to drive international market expansion for a premium Arabica coffee brand originating from Malawi. This is not a conventional sales role—it is a strategic market-building mandate suited to a polished dealmaker who thrives at the intersection of FMCG, retail, and on-trade environments.

You will operate across South Africa and key global markets, shaping demand, securing high-value partnerships, and positioning a differentiated product within competitive international arenas.

THE MANDATE

You will be entrusted with full commercial ownership of revenue growth and market penetration, with a focus on:

• Driving Market Expansion across South Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia
• Securing High-Value Clients including premium retailers, distributors, specialty roasters, and on-trade partners
• Leading Complex Sales Cycles from strategic prospecting through to negotiation and closing
• Elevating Brand Positioning through compelling storytelling, cuppings, and executive-level engagement
• Building Strategic Relationships with key decision-makers across retail and hospitality sectors
• Leveraging Market Intelligence to inform pricing, positioning, and competitive strategy

THE PROFILE

This role requires a rare blend of commercial sophistication, presence, and execution capability:

• Proven success in senior FMCG sales / market development roles
• Essential experience across Retail AND On-Trade channels
• Strong exposure to international markets (Middle East, Europe, Asia highly advantageous)
• Deep commercial acumen with the ability to structure and close complex deals
• Highly articulate, credible, and confident engaging at executive and board level
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven, ownership mentality
• Experience in coffee, beverages, or premium FMCG categories advantageous
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (local & international)
