Hire Resolve’s client, a reputable insurance company based in Johannesburg, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Client Accountant to join their team. As a Client Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial transactions and reporting for a portfolio of clients within the insurance industry.

Responsibilities:

Process and maintain accurate financial records for assigned clients Process underwriting results per client onto the general ledger including premium, reinsurance premium, claims, recoveries, commissions and fees. Process reserves per client onto the general ledger . outstanding claims, Incurred But Not Reported (“IBNR”), Process income tax per client onto the general ledger unearned premium reserve as well as corresponding reinsurance portions Prepare and review client financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements Manage the collection of premiums and settlement of claims Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve any financial issues Provide financial analysis and reporting to management Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or similar Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting role within the insurance industry Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Benefits Salary, R500K/Yr – R650K/Yr
