Description
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading capital equipment supplier serving the mining and minerals processing industry. This role is for a technically grounded sales professional who can position and sell process separation equipment with confidence — someone who has spent enough time on plant to understand what clients actually need. You will be responsible for developing and executing the product sales strategy, growing the pipeline, and delivering commercially sound proposals that translate technical capability into client value.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a product sales strategy within the first six months, aligned to business objectives and market opportunities
  • Achieve annual order intake targets while sustaining gross margins above 20%
  • Maintain an active, qualified pipeline at no less than 3× the annual sales target
  • Identify and pursue new market segments and customer opportunities with structured engagement plans
  • Compile high-quality technical proposals and tenders, incorporating value-selling methodology and accurate costings
  • Conduct site assessments and technical audits across key projects
  • Facilitate test work programs from planning through to completion and reporting
  • Liaise directly with process engineers, mine planners, consultants, and project houses
  • Ensure complete and accurate project handovers to the project management team
  • Maintain CRM accuracy with all active opportunities, forecasts, and value pitches updated weekly
  • Submit market and competitor intelligence reports quarterly and contribute to product development discussions
Experience Required
  • 5–8 years of engineering sales experience in the mining or process equipment environment
  • Proven capital equipment sales record into the mining and minerals processing markets
  • Specific experience with mineral separation equipment — preference given to candidates with knowledge of jigs, UCC, DMS, or sensor sorting
  • Solid understanding of plant design and operations sufficient to engage credibly at process engineering level
  • Experience managing complex capital tenders including negotiation, legal terms, risk assessment, and performance guarantees
  • Proven budgeting and financial modelling capability
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel and work extended periods on site or in-country
  • Valid driver's licence and own transport
Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Process Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline (required)
