At AWS, the Principal EEIP Private Equity: B-BBEE will play a significant role in driving transformation and growth across South Africa through the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Program. The successful candidate will have a direct impact on development financing while maintaining robust risk management standards. The role requires working at the intersection of AWS’s business strategy and B-BBEE initiatives, ensuring that investments in small businesses create long-lasting positive effects.Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to protect investments and support program objectives. Evaluate and monitor private market investments, overseeing financial analyses and conducting stress testing. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes, continuously improving risk management approaches and adapting them to new challenges. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Advanced credentials such as CFA, CIMA, or FRM. Experience in private markets, including risk management and mitigation strategies. Working knowledge of various asset classes and fund structures. Demonstrated track record of progressive responsibility and measurable impact.Strong background in financial modeling and investment analysis. Comprehensive knowledge of the South African and Sub-Saharan African private equity landscape. Demonstrates high judgment in high-stakes decisions and builds strong relationships across boundaries.
