The role involves leading and delivering high voltage electrical engineering solutions across complex infrastructure projects, from concept through to commissioning.**Key Responsibilities:*** Lead HV engineering design for substations, transmission, distribution, and reticulation systems* Prepare, review, and approve technical designs, drawings, calculations, and specifications* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians* Ensure compliance with Eskom standards, SANS, IEC, NRS, Grid Code, and OHSA regulations* Support projects through feasibility studies, tender evaluations, and cost estimates* Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams* Provide site-based support including inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover* Identify and manage technical risks while ensuring safe, cost-effective solutions* Ensure delivery within quality, safety, budget, and programme requirements**Requirements:*** BEng / BSc / BTech in Electrical Engineering* Professional registration with ECSA (Pr Eng) advantageous* 7–10years’ electrical engineering experience* Strong HV experience including substations, transmission, distribution, and protection systems* Proven exposure to full project lifecycle (design to commissioning)* Site-based construction experience essential* Experience in mining,energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors advantageous* Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities**Benefits:**Salary: Negotiable, depending on qualifications and experienceContact RPO Recruitment for our next career opportunity.* Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.* Apply for this role today, contact Meghan du Plessis and Riana Hattingh at RPO Recruitment or on LinkedIn* You can also visit the RPO Recruitment website: rporecruitment.us or email us your CV:We willcontact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
