Bond / Mortgage Originator, Johannesburg

MSA Outsourcing Solutions - UK is seeking an experienced Bond / Mortgage Originator to support one of our UK based clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for originating mortgage and bond applications, managing client relationships, and ensuring a smooth and efficient application process from start to finish. You will act as a key liaison between clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to secure the best financial solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess clients’ financial situations and mortgage needs to provide tailored advice and suitable bond or mortgage products.
• Prepare, submit, and track mortgage and bond applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
• Manage relationships with clients, lenders, and third parties, providing updates and resolving any issues throughout the application process.
• Stay updated with the latest mortgage and bond market trends, products, interest rates, and regulatory changes.
• Negotiate terms with lenders to secure competitive rates and favorable terms for clients.
• Advise clients on mortgage affordability, repayment options, and potential impacts on their financial position.
• Coordinate with underwriters, valuators, and conveyancers to facilitate smooth loan processing.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on application status and business development activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mortgage or Bond Originator, Financial Advisor, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, bond financing, and the lending process.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess clients’ financial situations and provide suitable recommendations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with mortgage-related software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications or licenses may be required depending on jurisdiction.
