System Administrator, Johannesburg

Requirements

Relevant IT degree or diploma, or equivalent certifications (MCSA, MCSE, or similar)

3–5 years of experience in a systems administration role

Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory

Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware or Hyper‑V)

Familiarity with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS

Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery best practices

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Windows and/or Linux server environments

Monitor system performance and respond to incidents proactively

Manage user accounts, group policies, and Active Directory

Apply patches, updates, and security configurations

Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes
