Qualifications

Appropriate qualification allowing registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) in Occupational Therapy.

Registration with the HPCSA in Occupational Therapy.

A minimum of 3 years of appropriate experience as an Occupational Therapist after registration.

Experience in managing a sub‑section is an advantage.

Ability to organise workshops.

Responsibilities

Assessment and treatment of in‑patients and out‑patients in the designated subsection.

Management of the designated subsection.

Evaluation of staff and students.

Contribute to research activities.

Management of human resources and financial components in the subsection.

Draw up treatment programmes and protocols in the subsection.

Demonstrate good clinical skills in the subsection.
