Comanche Armament Corporation is looking for a versatile

In-House Graphic Designer

to join our team in Sandton. Comanche Armament Corporation has a number of sister companies to support its global operations, many of these branching companies are still in the start up phases and need a lot of hands‑on support in terms of design.

This role offers a unique balance: You will need to have a great understanding of the brand and what we do and then apply that knowledge in a creative way to enhance the brand reputation, but you will also work directly with our Board who are deeply invested in the fine details.

Sandton, Johannesburg (In-Office)

Salary:

R15,000 per month

The Challenges:

Our Board are highly passionate about design and can be very particular.

The Feedback Loop:

You must be comfortable with an iterative process. This often involves multiple revisions, and sometimes, the Board may change their minds or forget a previous request. You’ll need to handle this with professional patience.

Communication:

Briefs aren’t always crystal clear. You need to be able to "extract" the vision from a conversation and run with it. During your initial months you might find yourself frustrated but the team around you is also there to support and provide insight so help you find your feet.

Managing Upwards:

You cannot be "thin‑skinned" or shy. When production deadlines are looming, you must be bold enough to chase the Board for feedback or approvals. You need to be the keeper of the timeline.

Key Responsibilities

Design&Production:

Create catalogues, high‑end presentations, and promotional/event assets.

E-commerce Ownership:

You will be the primary person responsible for editing and uploading product imagery and ensuring the site looks professional.

Multi-Brand Support:

Designing for several different companies within our investment portfolio.

Technical Liaison:

Communicating with production partners and printers regarding specs, limits and timelines.

Requirements&Skills

Portfolio:

A strong portfolio showing clean design and attention to detail is essential.

Software:

Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Proficiency in

Canva

is required for quick assets.

Education:

A tertiary qualification in Design OR equivalent professional experience.

E-commerce Savvy:

While we do not run a traditional e-commerce platform, as our e‑commerce platform is more in the form of a catalogue, finding ways to improve the platform consistently will be a major role in the position.

Bonus:

Basic video editing and animation skills.
