About the Role Our client is looking for an experienced, self-driven Recruiter seeking a flexible opportunity to earn commission. This role is ideal for someone with an established network who enjoys working independently and has a strong ability to source, screen, and place high-quality candidates across various industries.

You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle on live mandates as they arise, with direct rewards tied to successful placements. This opportunity is well-suited to individuals between roles, consulting part-time, semi-retired, or looking to supplement their income while maintaining flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with stakeholders to understand hiring needs and develop accurate role briefs

Source candidates through multiple channels, including LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and personal networks

Conduct initial screening interviews to assess skills, cultural fit, and motivation

Shortlist and present qualified candidates with clear written summaries

Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers

Manage candidate communication and feedback throughout the recruitment process

Negotiate offers and support candidates through placement and onboarding

Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates for future and recurring roles

Recruit across various industries and levels as mandates arise

Manage relationships with clients, partners, and candidates

Minimum Requirements

2–5 years of proven recruitment experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Demonstrated track record of successful placements across multiple sectors

Strong sourcing capability, including LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search techniques

Based in Johannesburg, with the ability to meet candidates and clients when required

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Own laptop, reliable internet connection, and smartphone

Legal right to work in South Africa

Preferred Attributes

Existing candidate database or strong professional network in Gauteng

Experience recruiting across diverse functions (e.g., finance, operations, sales, tech, admin)

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership

Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or CRM tools
