Key Accountabilities/Outcomes Supervision and Leadership
Lead, supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and artisans.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings and TPM activity updates.
Provide coaching on maintenance standards, equipment operation and TPM methodologies.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and equipment ownership across the plant.
Maintenance Planning and Execution
Schedule and execute preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Ensure proper documentation of work orders, downtime events and TPM checklists in the CMMS.
Support planning and execution of shutdowns, overhauls and major plant maintenance events.
TPM Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of TPM pillars, including:
Planned Maintenance
Autonomous Maintenance (AM Step 0–7 Support)
Training and Skills Development
Early Equipment Management (EEM)
Facilitate TPM meetings, improvement workshops and Kaizen activities.
Develop and update equipment standards such as lubrication charts, cleaning standards, inspection checklists and tagging procedures.
Train Operators on basic maintenance, cleaning, inspection and lubrication tasks to strengthen autonomous maintenance.
Ensure accurate tracking of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) losses and support teams in reducing chronic and sporadic downtime.
Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure TPM boards, metrics and visual management tools are maintained and up to date.
Equipment and Facility Management
Conduct regular inspections to identify failures, hazards and improvement opportunities.
Monitor spare parts, tools and consumables inventory and request replenishment when required.
Ensure critical assets receive proper lubrication, alignment, calibration and preventive care.
Support equipment upgrades, modifications and commissioning using EEM principles.
Health, Safety and Compliance
Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.
Enforce safe work procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and permit-to-work systems.
Conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Maintain a clean, organized and hazard-free maintenance workshop.
Administration and Reporting
Maintain accurate maintenance records, TPM documentation and daily shift reports.
Monitor maintenance KPIs, including breakdown frequency, MTBF, MTTR, OEE and PM completion rates.
Assist in budgeting for tools, spare parts and maintenance improvement projects.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and other departments as needed.
Qualification/Skills/Experience
Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in maintenance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Experience in manufacturing, industrial, mining, or facility maintenance preferred.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals.
Proficiency with CMMS systems and maintenance planning.
Knowledge of TPM, Lean and reliability‑centred maintenance practices advantageous.
Strong leadership, communication and team‑building abilities.
Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of preventative maintenance techniques or scheduling and safety management.
Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations to include product and associate safety.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Demonstrated knowledge of building maintenance (facilities and utilities).
