Objective of Role

This position is a strategic role within the CardioMetabolic segment of the Medical Affairs organization. The Medical Advisor will provide strategic input throughout the product lifecycle, maximizing Aspen’s value proposition through the delivery of medical and scientific expertise. The Advisor will collaborate with the Head of Medical Affairs, Brand Managers, and Market Access Managers, ensuring that medical and scientific knowledge is effectively communicated internally and externally to supportproduct success.Key Responsibilities

Product lifecycle management in collaboration with Brand Managers and cross‑functional teams. Lead and develop the local medical strategy and medical activities for the product(s) in accordance with regulations. Work closely with cross‑functional teams to support the development and execution of medical strategies and plans.Stay current with medical and scientific developments in the CardioMetabolic therapeutic area, providing training to internal and external customers. Maintain in‑depth therapy area expertise, product knowledge, and competitor data. Drive integrated evidence planning and execution, understanding stakeholder needs and performing robust data‑gap analyses.Visit KOLs and study groups for evidence generation discussions. Cultivate and maintain relationships with external experts. Manage internal and external relationships within the area of responsibility. Ensure consistency and accuracy of medical content and scientific messages across tools and materials.Provide medical insights to support marketing and commercialization of TA products. Oversee sourced/outsourced medical programs and logistics. Conduct local advisory board meetings, expert panels, and scientific engagement meetings (SEM/CMEs). Develop and deliver scientific presentations and materials for internal and external conferences.Provide medical expertise for pipeline products and HTA submissions. Act as a key strategic business partner. Initiate and drive projects to raise care standards and change clinical practice. Work independently, balancing ambiguity with solutions. Build collaborative relationships with commercial and cross‑functional teams (marketing, value&access, health economics, regulatory, clinical). Collaborate with alliance partners for country engagement and input into global and regional plans. Rapidly assimilate new data into new therapy areas. Create industry‑leading digital educational and scientific content that is timely and interactive.Champion the patient voice in medical strategies. Demonstrate strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring. Act as an internal medical resource for marketing, regulatory affairs, and market access. Maintain compliance with regulations, guidelines, and company policies in all medical communications and activities.Authority

Sign off medical plans for area of responsibility. Approve scientific content of local symposia, workshops, publications, promotional materials, and medical sections of reimbursement files. Approve slide decks, resources, and scientific speaker presentations. Outputs

Brand/disease specific parts of medical plan. Local support for medical questions, feasibility, and trial strategy. Local product lifecycle plan. Protocols and other study documents for local studies. Medical expertise for review of promotional and scientific documents. Local R&D brand/disease related results aligned with goals and metrics. Relevant training to internal and external stakeholders. Understanding of HCP communication preferences to optimize channels. Implement true scientific engagement journeys bridging channel disconnects. Educational Requirements

Matric (secondary education). Medical qualification (MBChB) or equivalent life‑science qualification at least Master’s level. Knowledge&Experience Requirements

Minimum of 2 years in the pharmaceutical industry or proven academic collaboration. Experience in affiliate Medical Department or Clinical Development. Experience with clinical study management and conduct. Knowledge of commercialization and business practices. Understanding of pharmaceutical product development, lifecycle, and commercialization.Experience in the CardioMetabolic therapeutic area is advantageous. Experience managing KOLs in the relevant therapeutic area. Soft Skills Requirements

Medical strategy and scientific expertise in the therapeutic area. Understanding of healthcare systems and their evolution. Fluency in English (oral&written). Strong communication skills for challenging discussions and complex scientific concepts. Excellent presentation skills. Continuous expansion of market and medical knowledge. Strong clinical research knowledge, including study design, evaluation, medical writing, expert panel conduct, symposium and workshop management, KOL management.Customer orientation; science‑based. Ability to work in cross‑functional teams. Role model in line with Aspen Values. Leadership skills. Independently solutions‑oriented approach to grey areas. Confidence in using omnichannel tools and adapting to new technologies. Compliance‑friendly communication of HCP unmet needs.Strong project management skills. Willingness to continuously expand knowledge across medical, scientific, market, and industry domains. Computer Skills Required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Drivers Licence

Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel as required. Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged groups.
