Maintenance Manager, Johannesburg

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Manager to join our client's team in Johannesburg. Our client is a leading manufacturing company in the region and is looking for a strong leader who can oversee the maintenance operations and ensure the smooth running of the facility.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the maintenance department and ensure all maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.

Engage with internal stakeholders regarding data analytics and monitoring systems to track performance of Solar PV and BESS installations.

Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.

Plan and schedule maintenance activities to optimize production uptime.

Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, implementing appropriate measures to mitigate risks.

Manage budgets and costs associated with maintenance activities.

Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

Provide leadership and guidance to the maintenance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Stay current with industry trends and advancements in maintenance technology.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Fleet Management, or a related field. Advanced technical certifications are a plus.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably within the renewable energy sector.

Knowledge of Solar PV and BESS technologies and maintenance requirements is advantageous.

Proven experience in leading and managing maintenance teams and operations.

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the renewable energy industry.

Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.

Leadership and team‑building skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Analytical skills for performance optimization and problem-solving.

Proficiency in relevant software and tools for maintenance management.
