IT Process Engineer, Johannesburg

Khonology is a digital services company focused on software development, Application Support, data analytics and engineering.

We are looking to onboard four senior process engineers on a 6 month contract, that have advanced process mapping capabilities in complex environments, and a minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in process excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Documenting all existing and new processes (Technical and Business), ensuring transparency, consistency, and traceability across the technology stack.

Capturing and maintaining a comprehensive crisis management, incident log, including root cause analysis and remediation workflows, to reduce repeat occurrences and improve response agility.

Identify and analyse process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, redundancies, and non-value‑adding activities, and effectively communicate insights to stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and enhance the overall client experience.

Collaborate to accurately document all end-to-end existing and new processes (including system flows, integrations, and data hand‑offs).

Collaborate with the Process Architecture Lead to ensure all processes are aligned with and integrated into the process architecture.

Capture and maintain a comprehensive crisis management and incident log. Include root cause analysis and remediation workflows. Reduce repeat occurrences and improve response agility.

Processes are to be documented and housed in a central repository.

Facilitate process workshops, discovery sessions, and validation meetings with business SMEs, operations, technology, risk, and compliance teams.

Act as a bridge between business and technical stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation of both“as‑is” and “to‑be” states.

Required Skills&Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Process Management, or related field (Beneficial).

5–8 years of experience in IT operations, process governance, or service management.

Proven experience in documenting and optimizing complex, cross‑functional processes.

Experience with incident, problem, and change management within enterprise environments.

Familiarity with process‑mapping and documentation tools.

Advanced analytical and reporting skills, including root cause and trend analysis.

Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
