FMCG Millwright: Maintenance, Diagnostics&Upgrades, Johannesburg

Candidate Essentials Educational Requirements&Experience: Grade 12. Qualified Millwright. Trade-tested Millwright 1 - 2 years or more of experience within a FMCG environment, experience on and labelling machines will be a great advantage. Knowledge of PLC/VSD Drives experience. Leadership: Strong leadership abilities with well-developed emotional intelligence.Key Performance Areas Key Responsibilities: Install and assemble machinery, mechanical systems, and equipment as per blueprints, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines, conveyors, pumps, motors, and other mechanical equipment. Diagnose and repair issues with mechanical systems, electricalcomponents, and hydraulics. Quickly and efficiently troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns to minimize production downtime. Utilise diagnostic tools, including vibration analysis and infrared thermography, to identify issues. Assist with the installation of new systems, upgrades to existing equipment, and modifications toimprove the overall efficiency of operations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and installations, including parts used, labour hours, and any issues encountered. Ensure tools, equipment, and parts required for maintenance are available and well maintained. Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout practices, while working with hazardousmachinery and equipment. Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and regulatory requirements. Work closely with production teams, engineers, and other maintenance personnel to resolve equipment issues and improve machine performance.
