Senior Quantity Surveyor, Johannesburg

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our civil engineering and construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall commercial, financial, and contractual management of projects from project commencement through to final account stage.The ideal candidate must possess strong experience in cost control, contract administration, subcontractor management, and project commercial reporting within the construction or civil engineering industry. The role requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage project profitability, maintain healthy cash flow, and support operational teams through strategic commercial oversight.As a senior member of the commercial team, the Senior QS will oversee project budgets, procurement processes, client valuations, subcontractor accounts, and cost forecasting while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company financial procedures. The successful incumbent will also be responsible for monitoring“Actual vs. Allowable” cost performance using CCS (Candy) and Buildsmart, identifying commercial risks and opportunities, and implementing corrective actions to protect project margins.
