Our client is the leading global Importer of Record and compliance specialist for the medical and pharmaceutical industry— operating across 200+ destinations and trusted by some of the biggest names in global pharma.
This isn't a typical BD role. It's a front-row seat to how a world-class international business is built and run.
The Role You'll work directly with the MD and Director of Partnerships— sitting in on boardroom-level strategy one day, closing deals with global pharmaceutical giants the next.
This is a hybrid role blending business development, strategic operations, and executive exposure. If you're a high-performing CA, attorney, or similarly qualified professional who wants to build a client portfolio and learn how to scale a global business from the inside— this was written for you.
What You'll Be Doing Strategic&Operational Exposure
Work directly with the MD on growth initiatives and market analysis
Contribute to business-critical decisions across commercial, operational, and financial domains
Develop frameworks for scaling international operations, pricing strategies, and process optimisation
Support data analysis, reporting, and execution of new business strategies
Business Development&Client Growth
Identify and develop new opportunities in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and clinical trial sectors
Target key decision-makers in US and European markets
Convert opportunities into signed commercial agreements
Manage client relationships end-to-end— from proposal through to post-sales coordination
Global Exposure
Engage international clients via Zoom, Teams, and in-person
Travel to target regions to build relationships and close deals
Requirements
CA, BCom LLB, Engineering, Actuarial Science, or MBA (preferred)
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience
Proven track record in sales, consulting, or business development
Entrepreneurial mindset— self-starter, high-energy, commercially sharp
Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving ability
Excellent communicator with solid interpersonal skills
Experience managing or mentoring teams is advantageous
Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel and data analysis tools a bonus
Strong academic record (matric certificate and university transcripts required)
