Wastewater Engineer, Johannesburg

Wastewater Engineer: DBN / PMB / CPT The role involves site work and may require travel at short notice. A full and valid driver’s license is essential.

JG Afrika is seeking an experienced Wastewater Engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities

The design of wastewater infrastructure

Project management of multidisciplinary projects

Preparing contract documentation

Contract administration

Supporting Green Drop and Blue Drop compliance

Qualifications

A minimum of a BSc, BEng, or BTech in Civil Engineering is required.

A Master’s in Water and Wastewater Treatment Processes is a strong advantage.

A BSc or BEng in Chemical Engineering will also be considered, provided you have experience in municipal wastewater treatment design and project management. Please provide evidence on your CV.

Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer/Technologist, or close to registration.

A valid driver’s license.

Experience

At least 8 years of experience in wastewater infrastructure design and contract administration, with good knowledge of treatment plant processes.

Skills

Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Excellent communication skills are required.

Strong and demonstratable technical skills in the Engineering space. Competencies: Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, Word and MS Project.
