Location: Rosebank, Johannesburg (Full-Time, Office-Based)

Chosen Online (Pty) Ltd has been exclusively retained by a high-growth technology business to identify an exceptional Senior Partner Account Manager who can play a pivotal role in accelerating the company's next phase of growth.

This is not a traditional account management role.

This is an opportunity to build, influence, and expand a strategic partner ecosystem that directly drives revenue, market reach, and business growth. We are seeking a commercially astute relationship-builder with the credibility, network, and drive to engage senior decision-makers, unlock opportunities, and create long-term value through strategic partnerships.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will take ownership of an established partner ecosystem while simultaneously identifying and securing new enterprise partnerships. Your focus will be on creating meaningful relationships, driving partner engagement, generating qualified opportunities, and helping partners unlock greater value within their customer bases.

This role combines strategic relationship management, business development, partner enablement, and revenue generation into one highly visible and influential position.

Key Responsibilities

Grow and Strengthen Existing Partner Relationships

Develop deep, trusted relationships across an established network of enterprise partners.

  • Build strong executive and operational relationships within partner organisations.
  • Drive engagement, collaboration, and commercial success.
  • Identify and unlock new opportunities within partner customer bases.
  • Generate a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Conduct strategic business reviews and growth planning sessions.
  • Become a trusted advisor and key point of contact for partner stakeholders.

Identify and Secure New Enterprise Partners

Expand the partner ecosystem by attracting and onboarding high-value strategic partners.

  • Identify, target, and engage prospective enterprise partners.
  • Leverage your network and market knowledge to open doors and create opportunities.
  • Build and execute a proactive partner acquisition strategy.
  • Negotiate and establish commercially successful partnerships.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of prospective partners across key industry sectors.

Drive Successful Partner Onboarding and Enablement

Set partners up for long-term success from day one.

  • Lead partner onboarding initiatives.
  • Deliver sales enablement and partner training programmes.
  • Create strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure partners are equipped to identify and generate opportunities effectively.
  • Foster long-term engagement and partner growth.

Generate Qualified Opportunities

Work closely with partners to uncover opportunities where integration, automation, orchestration, and digital transformation solutions can deliver significant business value.

  • Identify opportunities within partner customer environments.
  • Collaborate with partner sales and leadership teams.
  • Drive indirect pipeline growth through strategic engagement.
  • Support joint go-to-market initiatives and business development activities.
  • Maintain a strong focus on opportunity creation and revenue impact.

Opportunity Qualification and Handover

  • Assess and qualify partner-generated opportunities.
  • Gather business requirements and evaluate opportunity fit.
  • Ensure opportunities meet agreed qualification criteria.
  • Seamlessly transition qualified opportunities to the internal sales team.
  • Maintain visibility and engagement throughout the sales process where required.

Travel Requirements

This role requires regular travel to partner locations across:

  • Johannesburg
  • Cape Town
  • Durban

While the majority of partner interactions will take place in Johannesburg, the successful candidate should enjoy being in front of customers and partners and be comfortable travelling as required. When not travelling, the role will be based full-time from the Rosebank office.

Experience Required

Essential

  • Minimum 10 years of overall business experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within:
    • Channel Sales
    • Alliance Management
    • Partner Management
    • Strategic Partnerships
    • Business Development
  • Proven success in building and growing partner ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate revenue through indirect sales channels.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience engaging with enterprise-level organisations and senior decision-makers.

Preferred

Experience within one or more of the following sectors:

The Ideal Candidate

You are a natural connector, a strategic thinker, and a commercially driven relationship-builder who understands how to create value through partnerships.

You have an established network within enterprise technology, consulting, advisory, and digital transformation environments and a track record of turning relationships into meaningful business outcomes.

You are equally comfortable engaging C-suite executives, building partner strategies, facilitating enablement programmes, and uncovering new revenue opportunities.

Most importantly, you bring energy, credibility, curiosity, and a genuine passion for building long-term partnerships that drive growth.

Candidates should demonstrate experience working with enterprise organisations typically comprising:

  • 200+ employees; and/or
  • Annual revenues exceeding R500 million.
