Job Description The Senior Marketing Officer will play a strategic and operational role in managing and elevating the Henry Fagan brand across all platforms and business divisions. Based at the Johannesburg office, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving marketing initiatives, managing internal and external communications, supporting business development efforts, and ensuring brand consistency across all company touchpoints.
The role requires a highly organised and creative professional with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced professional environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to strengthen brand visibility, stakeholder engagement, and market positioning.
Key Responsibilities Brand Management and Strategy
Assist in the implementation and management of the company’s marketing and communications strategy.
Ensure consistent application of the Henry Fagan brand across all internal and external platforms.
Support ongoing brand positioning initiatives and company-wide campaigns.
Monitor and maintain brand standards, templates, and visual identity.
Internal and External Communications
Draft and coordinate professional internal communications, staff announcements, newsletters, and company updates.
Assist with external communications including LinkedIn content, website updates, media content, and promotional campaigns.
Support leadership communication initiatives and employer‑branding campaigns.
Ensure all communications align with the company’s tone, values, and strategic objectives.
Social Media and Digital Marketing
Manage and grow the company’s social media presence.
Create engaging content including captions, graphics briefs, campaigns, and promotional material.
Monitor analytics and engagement metrics to improve digital performance and audience reach.
Assist with website content management and digital marketing initiatives.
Marketing Collateral and Proposals
Coordinate and develop company profiles, capability statements, presentations, brochures, and marketing material.
Support business development and tender processes with professionally branded documentation.
Assist with award submissions, industry entries, and corporate presentations.
Ensure all marketing material is accurate, visually aligned, and professionally presented.
Events and Stakeholder Engagement
Coordinate and support company events, conferences, Lunch&Learn sessions, networking events, and internal initiatives.
Assist with event branding, logistics, invitations, and communications.
Support relationship‑building initiatives with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Reporting and Administration
Track and report on marketing activities, social media insights, and campaign performance.
Assist with maintaining marketing calendars, communication schedules, and project trackers.
Coordinate suppliers, printers, branding vendors, and external service providers where required.
Maintain organised records and archives of marketing assets and documentation.
Job Requirements Qualifications and Experience Mandatory
Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Branding, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a marketing or communications role.
Strong understanding of branding, social media, and corporate communications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Advantageous
Experience within the engineering, construction, professional services, or built environment sector.
Experience with LinkedIn analytics, digital marketing, and content planning.
Basic graphic design knowledge or experience working with designers.
Experience with website management platforms and email marketing tools.
Photography, videography, or content creation experience.
