User Interfaces and User eXperiences

across digital platforms. The role ensures solutions are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with user needs and business objectives. It requires the ability to translate business and technical requirements into effective designs, conduct usability testing, and collaborate closely with developers to deliver engaging, user-friendly digital applications. Must be familiar with the following technology stack:

SQL Server, .Net 4.8, Angular, React, MVC Qualifications and Experience Required: Matric plus NQF Level 6 Qualification in Information

UI/UX design for web and mobile apps (Android and iOS )

Role Description: User Interface (UI) Design and Development: Independently design and develop UI components for web and mobile platforms Implement reusable and scalable design patterns Ensure adherence to brand and accessibility standards User Experience (UX) Design: Translate requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and mock-upsConduct usability testing sessions and incorporate user feedback Apply design thinking methods to improve customer and employee journeys Accessibility and Design Standards: Embed accessibility principles (WCAG) into designs Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and governance standards Maintain consistency across platforms and devicesTesting and Quality Assurance: Conduct basic usability and compatibility testing Record and escalate defects to senior UI/UX Developers Ensure designs are tested across multiple devices and browsers Documentation and Knowledge Management: Document UI/UX design decisions and prototypes Maintain up-to-date design documentation, style guides, and reusable components repositoriesSupport the creation of design guidelines Contribute to the creation of design libraries and UI/UXframeworks Collaboration: Work with Digital Channels Developers to implement UI/UX designs Partner with Integration Analysts and Business Analysts to validate requirements Participate in Agile ceremonies to align design with deliveryTesting and Validation: Conduct functional and user acceptance testing for design implementations Identify and resolve UI/UX issues before release Validate performance and responsiveness across device Documentation and Knowledge Management: Maintain style guides, component libraries, and design documentationEnsure design decisions are logged for reuse Contribute to CoE knowledge sharing initiatives Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Suggest enhancements to improve digital user experience Stay updated on new design frameworks, tools, and practices Contribute ideas for innovation pilots within the CoE
