Team Assistant, Johannesburg

Specific responsibilities (not limited to):

Key KPI’s are the following, but are not limited to these alone:

·        Receive job cards and understand task instructions before beginning any work

·        Collect and prepare materials such as rubber, flanges, polyhouse, wires, and mandrels

·        Assist with loading rubber onto mandrels and preparing materials for production

·        Measure mandrels and hoses accurately using tape and OD tape

·        Assist the machine leader during the pipe-building process or conduct independent tasks when required

·        Paint flanges and record product specifications

·        Help the team leader ensure availability of consumables, tools, and materials

·        Ensure cleanliness and assist in maintaining housekeeping standards

·        Follow all safety procedures when using tools and moving materials

·        Participate in hose finishing, poking, tightening, and related production activities

·        Assist with material cutting and deliveries when required

·        Work collaboratively with the production team to ensure seamless workflow

Qualifications and Experience:

·        Basic literacy and numeracy skills beneficial

·        Grade 12 preferred

·        Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment advantageous

·        Knowledge of hose-building, rubber products, mandrels, and related materials advantageous

·        Understanding of PPE and safety procedures

·        On-the-job production or machine assistant experience will be advantageous
