Rock Engineer – Mining Industry, Kathu

Overview

Hire Resolve’s client in the Engineering industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Rock Engineer in Kathu, in the Southern Kalahari.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized integrated geotechnical expertise to the mine Manage geotechnical investigations and ensure structural stability of residue deposits, waste dumps, and stockpiles Implement business intelligence and trend analysis within function Plan, implement, control, and monitor approved changes Input into functional planning and demonstrate awareness of macro and microeconomic factors Manage people development and identify training gaps Oversee internal and external relations management Ensure adherence to Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, Quality (SHERQ) and related compliance

Requirements

Bachelor of Science / BTech in Rock Engineering / Geology / Mining Certificate in Rock Mechanics (Rock Engineering) A minimum of seven (7) years operational Rock Engineering experience Three (3) years operational middle management experience Valid Code CI driver’s license Legal appointment 2.13.1 as per the Mine Health and Safety Act Accreditation and registration with SANIRE – South African National Institute of Rock Engineering

Report Location: Kathu, Southern Kalahari.

Annual Salary: Salary Negotiable.
