Logistics and Exports Coordinator

Main Roles & responsibilities:

1. Working closely with the Design, process, and review of highly complex design projects particularly relating to security primers, receive and Compiling project BOQ's, comparing to quotes and client PO's Ordering / identifying raw material requirements
2. Manage material movement between branches
3. Identify and implement project specific packaging and quality standards
4. Identify project specific logistical requirements and packaging methodologies and compile project specific loading plans and material lists
5. Packaging raw material management
6. Prepare monthly project schedules and assigning dedicated dispatch dates per project
7. Ensure material is prepared and packaged and meets company QC requirements
8. Plan and manage the processing of orders from a logistical point of view, i.e. labour, transport, available vessels etc.

Support roles and responsibilities:

Fleet:

1. Compile monthly vehicle maintenance budgets, ensure monthly expenditure remains within budget
2. Fleet management, i.e. services, repairs and procurement, reviewing and approval of relevant expenditure, Overall condition of fleet, Analysing fleet requirements
3. Calculating monthly fuel budget, and reviewing and approving daily fuel expenses
4. Supplier payments and Account reconciliations local and international

Logistics:

Analysing and implementing monthly shipping plans and requirements, Identifying the most economical shipping options and suppliers based on project requirements, approach competitive transport offers

• Calculate container qty's / transport requirements, prepare transport costing approval packs and Identify and book containers per project specific vessels internationally
• Arrange road freight transport and arrange Container placements by Identify any statutory shipping requirements, i.e. BV, SGS, Cotecna, Product certificates etc.
• Compile documentation for statutory shipping requirements, i.e. MTC's, Commercial invoices & packing lists
• Arranging 3rd party inspections and fumigators
• Transport dashboard to be updated daily, and data capturing of project specific logistical information
• Review custom tariff codes for validity and relevancy, Calculate container / transport requirements for newly quoted projects on behalf of pricing
• Obtain & file signed loading plans / inspection sheets, List of anomalies and plan for plan for anomalies
• QA/QC loading inspection report

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Commerce in Transport and Logistics

Matric Non negotiable

Must be able to converse in English and Afrikaans (Fluent)

Advanced Excel Skills

CRM – Dynamic would be a preference.
