Inventory Cost Controller -Paarl, Paardekop

Our client in the Boland is sin need of an Inventory Cost Controller with experience within the FMCG environment.

Requirements:

Pastel Evolution and Macros exposure highly beneficial

3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role

Proficiency in Microsoft office excel

Responsibility:

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

The implementation and maintenance of inventory data in Pastel Evolution.

Ensuring that all internal inventory controls are maintained and implemented to ensure that the quantity and costing of the inventory is accurate, and that inventory is not misstated.

Maintenance of the inventory Masterfile and warehouse locations on Pastel Evolution.

Ensuring that the inventory costing relating to imported products and local products are accurate and priced accordingly.

Ensuring accuracy of the bills of materials and pricing of cost of inventory.

Ensuring that all stock takes are performed at all stores. Capturing of data and calculating of gross profit achieved. Drawing of inventory reports and analyzing of variances. Reconciling of stock on hand to stock per general ledger account.

Responsible for controlling the pricing matrix on pastel and ensuring the correct inventory discount level is used.

Product costing and costing analysis.

Responsible for managing the minimum stock levels and ensuring that stock is ordered on time at the right price.

Control stock wastage / theft. Ensure that stock shortages are investigated and reported on.

Be able to negotiate discount with suppliers.
