Regional Sales Manager
Isando Job Summary The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving dealer and branch performance through effective sales management, dealer development, training coordination, operational support, and customer relationship management within the commercial vehicle industry. The role focuses on achieving regional sales targets, strengthening dealer network performance, enhancing brand presence, and ensuring operational compliance across the region. The successful candidate will work closely with dealers, branches, internal departments, and key accounts to improve business performance, customer satisfaction, and sustainable sales growth.

Job Description Training and Development
  • Take control of company policies and procedures pertaining to dealer business to ensure specialist knowledge exists to assist and advise branch and dealer staff quickly within the sales and aftersales departments
  • Monitor available training offered to the dealer network to ensure consistent training attendance by branch and dealer staff
  • Assist Dealer Principals with setting up training plans to upskill staff members and create strong teams
  • Participate in relevant training programmes offered to ensure continued competence within the business
  • Assist with mentoring internal staff to ensure staff backup plans are in place
  • Monitor staff morale at dealers and branches and assist in correcting any problem areas that could hamper the brand
  • Manage work efficiently with clear communication and maintain a high-quality work ethic to continuously improve skills and dealer support
Sales Targets
  • Assist dealers and branches in achieving 100% vehicle sales targets
  • Ensure planning and cost-saving controls are maintained within operational budgets, including travel and vehicle usage
  • Ensure dealer visits adhere to structured visit cycles to minimise unnecessary travel and expenses
  • Ensure dealer debtor books are controlled and all vehicle stock payments are made within required policy timeframes
  • Ensure all invoiced vehicles are settled within 48 hours from invoice date
  • Ensure approved loan and demo vehicle usage adheres to agreed timelines and usage parameters
  • Ensure adequate vehicle return assessments are carried out and reported
Dealer Support
  • Visit dealers within the region at least four times annually, depending on dealer size, and provide detailed feedback reports
  • Monitor dealer branding standards and identify areas of concern requiring corrective action
  • Assist dealers in developing measurable business plans to improve operational performance
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly follow-ups on agreed action plans
  • Assist dealers in resolving operational and business-related challenges using structured problem-solving methods
  • Collaborate with the internal marketing team to ensure marketing initiatives are successfully implemented at dealer level
  • Monitor customer complaint resolution processes to ensure positive brand management
  • Assist branches and dealers in obtaining and retaining key accounts through scheduled customer visits
Specialist Individual Competency
  • Maintain specialist knowledge within designated market segments to provide expert support internally and across the dealer network
  • Participate in industry forums and remain informed about industry developments and market requirements
  • Share industry knowledge and insights with colleagues to optimise sales and operational performance
Minimum Requirements Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent tertiary sales qualification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Valid Code 8 driver’s licence and own vehicle
  • Commercial or Truck Industry experience
  • Previous dealer network exposure is essential
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership and relationship management abilities
  • Confident and proactive approach with the ability to anticipate issues and requirements
