Isando Position Summary The Logistics and Warehouse Co-Ordinator will be responsible for the efficient and compliant management of logistics, warehousing, inventory, and distribution operations across the business. The role ensures smooth supply chain execution for finished goods while maintaining regulatory compliance, operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and cost-effective logistics solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), clearing and forwarding agents, finance, quality, and commercial teams to ensure uninterrupted product availability and continuous process improvement.
Minimum Requirements Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Business Administration
- Supply Chain Management
- Logistics Management
- Operations Management
- Or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Supply Chain, Logistics, or Warehousing role
- Experience within a multinational organisation and/or pharmaceutical industry is essential
- Experience in operations management and logistics execution
- Team management and leadership experience advantageous
- SAP experience advantageous
- Manage and oversee logistics and distribution operations in collaboration with internal stakeholders and third-party providers
- Ensure efficient inbound, warehousing, transportation, and distribution processes
- Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions where necessary
- Ensure GDP-compliant logistics operations and product integrity throughout the supply chain
- Collaborate with commercial, finance, legal, regulatory, and quality teams to support business requirements
- Manage inbound supply processes from manufacturing plants and logistics centres
- Ensure shipment visibility and product integrity throughout the inbound supply chain
- Identify supply risks and implement mitigation plans
- Oversee customs compliance, import documentation, tariff classifications, import licenses, VAT, and bonded storage requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for import and inbound operations
- Lead and maintain a robust inventory management program ensuring inventory accuracy between physical stock and ERP systems
- Coordinate annual stock counts and periodic cycle counts
- Manage inventory reconciliation, adjustments, and movement between quality locations
- Ensure effective inventory interfaces and processes with third-party logistics providers
- Monitor inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Manage destruction processes for expired, damaged, or obsolete stock
- Support inventory optimisation and obsolescence reduction initiatives
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective distribution operations while balancing service levels and lead times
- Coordinate transportation methods and shipment requirements
- Ensure compliance with temperature-controlled transportation standards where applicable
- Manage product transfers between markets and logistics centres
- Coordinate returns, recalls, and destruction processes
- Manage procurement of packaging materials and data loggers
- Support serialization requirements and logistics enablement initiatives
- Coordinate customs requirements and documentation with clearing agents
- Arrange sample and reference standard shipments and related approvals
- Manage system setup for financial and physical product routing
- Coordinate launch-related logistics activities and product readiness
- Manage annual logistics and distribution budgets
- Prepare forecasts, accruals, and variance reports
- Track logistics spend and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Manage third-party invoicing and payment processes
- Ensure purchase orders and vendor setups comply with company procedures and financial controls
- Review and submit monthly accrual reports to finance
- Coordinate ARIBA purchase order management and payment tracking
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international regulations, GDP standards, quality standards, and company procedures
- Maintain accurate ERP system data including batch information, expiry dates, SKU details, and country of origin
- Develop, implement, and monitor SOPs and KPIs for logistics operations
- Manage supplier performance, service agreements, and compliance assessments
- Support internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness
- Manage incident reporting, corrective actions, and preventive actions
- Coordinate rework activities with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ensure Segregation of Duties (SOD) compliance within ERP systems
- Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
- Support strategic logistics and supply chain projects
- Drive standardisation and optimisation across logistics operations
- Participate in regional logistics and customer service forums
- Promote best practice implementation and process improvements
- Monitor and report on logistics and warehousing KPIs
- Conduct business reviews with logistics service providers
- Analyse operational data and implement corrective actions where necessary
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of logistics metrics and dashboards
- Support implementation of continuous improvement tools and methodologies

- Understanding of pharmaceutical and healthcare industry requirements
