Long Haul Truck Driver Star Alberta Transport Corporation Location Dunmore, AB Salary 36.10 hourly / 50 to 60 hours per week Full time Starts as soon as possible Languages English Education Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience 1 to less than 7 months Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Responsibilities: Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy Load and unload goods Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Transport and handle dangerous goods Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses AZ class license Driver's License (Class 1 or A) Experience and specialization Documentation knowledge Driver logbook Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) Type of trucking and equipment Flatbed Tractor-trailer Communication systems experience Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment Additional information Security and safety Driver's validity licence check Transportation/travel information Valid driver's licence Willing to travel cross-border Willing to travel for extended periods Work conditions and physical capabilities Attention to detail Handling heavy loads Physically demanding Repetitive Sitting Personal suitability Flexibility Judgement Organized Reliability Team player Until: 2025-12-27
