Medical Receptionist (Patient Advocate) Next Practice WSIH Pty Ltd Parramatta, Sydney NSW Medical Administration (Healthcare and Medical) Part time 30 to 35 per hour Low application volume Supportive team environment Beautiful location Next Practice Parramatta is a friendly and supportive practice, looking for a part-time or full-time patient advocate to join our growing team. Our patient advocates play a vital role in providing an optimal patient experience by providing support for our patients and our clinicians. We are a fully accredited Integrative General Practice, dedicated to person-centred, respectful, high-quality care. We are a private billing clinic with a focus on thorough, supportive care. We offer general practice, medical specialist, allied health, nursing and complimentary medical services. Key responsibilities: Working as part of a team with the Practice Manager, you will ensure provision of exceptional support services to practitioners and patients. Manage the workflow of the Living Room (Waiting room) including welcoming patients, telephone and email communication, invoicing and receipting and general administrative tasks. Balance managing the patient experience with completing important tasks that ensure smooth operation of the clinic, helping us maintain compliance, and grow our patient base. Managing patient support, bookings and enquiries, patient triage, patient requests and appointment management. Ensuring patients feel welcome, offer assistance when required and ensure they feel valued and cared for. Access, coordinate and manage patient medical records with utmost confidentiality. Skills and experience Excellent communication, customer service, organisational and interpersonal skills. Pro-active problem solving, adaptable and action-oriented. Always courteous, professional and with a patient-focused approach Attention to detail Previous experience in a medical receptionist role is highly regarded but not a pre-requisite Proficiency and familiarity with medical software and IT systems including Microsoft Office. CPR/First aid (or commitment to undertake this training)
