About us: Rehabilitation Services is a specialised unit dedicated to helping individuals and their families regain and maintain optimal function to achieve their lifestyle goals. The service includes a 16-bed inpatient unit, a 15-bed day hospital, and outreach programs to Mt Morgan, Capricorn Coast, and Gladstone. It also offers the Living with Amputation Service. Patients benefit from centre-based sub-acute inpatient and day hospital rehabilitation, alongside specialist assessment and management services, ensuring comprehensive support for recovery and independence. As Nurse Unit Manager, you'll lead, mentor, and energise your team, drive innovation, champion quality and safety, and turn evidence-based practice into everyday excellence. You'll manage resources, shape the unit's culture, and make sure every patient receives world-class care - while fostering learning, research, and continuous improvement. Our future NUM will be a current Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration and an active annual practising certificate - these are essential. While not mandatory, postgraduate qualifications in Rehabilitation, Aged Care, or Leadership/Management will make you stand out. Strong computer skills are also a must, helping you lead and manage the unit with confidence and efficiency.
