Manager: Input Procurement, Klerksdorp

Hinterland is seeking a capable and hands‑on Input Procurement Manager to join our team.

The purpose of this role is to oversee the strategic sourcing, procurement, and management of key agricultural inputs, including fuels, fertilizer, seed, and crop protection products, ensuring cost-effective, reliable, and timely supply to support operational and sales requirements.

In This Position, You Will Be Responsible For

Developing and implementing input procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and seasonal demand.

Negotiating supplier agreements, pricing structures, and handling fees to optimise return on capital employed.

Conducting market research to identify suppliers, analyse pricing trends, and assess product quality.

Collaborating with internal stakeholders to forecast input requirements and develop procurement and supply plans.

Managing supply chain risks and implementing contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted supply of critical inputs.

Overseeing procurement of fuels, seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products within an integrated strategy.

Managing inventory levels across warehouses and fuel stations to ensure operational readiness.

Supporting budget processes, monitoring expenditure, and identifying cost‑saving opportunities.

Managing supplier relationships and ensuring contractual compliance.

Ensuring compliance with legislation governing procurement, storage, transport, and handling of agricultural inputs.
