Registered Nurse Abode Health Pty Ltd Ascot, Perth WA Nursing - Community, Maternal and Child Health (Healthcare and Medical) Casual/Vacation Add expected salary to your profile for insights Low application volume I am currently seeking a reliable and committed registered nurse to join my support team in a part-time/permanent casual role (position will suit individuals studying, semi retired or seeking to compliment an existing part-time or agency role). I am a male in my 40's with a C6 spinal cord injury (24 years post injury) living independently in my own home in the ASCOT area. I lead an active, fun filled, independent lifestyle but rely on my support team to make it happen. Each shift commences at approximately 21:30-22:00 and concludes at approximately 10:30-11:30am the following morning and is comprised of three components: An active component of approximately 30 minutes to 45 minutes in the evening; An inactive sleepover component of approximately 7 to 8 hours where the successful applicant is able to sleep; and An active component of approximately 4 to 5 hours undertaking the duties listed below. An above award hourly rate and superannuation will be negotiated with the successful candidate, commensurate with qualifications and/or experience. There is the opportunity for the successful candidates to earn up to 50,000 per annum plus superannuation for completing two shifts per week. The successful candidate must be available to commit to a minimum of two shifts per week to be eligible for the full earning potential outlined above. Your duties will include (but not limited to): assistance with bowel and bladder care; assistance with personal care (including showering and dressing); manual handling (hoist and slide-board transfers); basic physiotherapy; maintaining stock levels of various medical supplies; and light, general domestic duties; the possibility of interstate and overseas travel (which will be negotiated separately). There will also no doubt be opportunities for additional shifts due to illness and holiday cover, however this can be discussed at interview. The successful candidate will have the following: recognised qualification in healthcare (RN); minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience; AHPRA registration (current or pending); current or pending AHPRA registration will be accepted, providing all registration requirements are met before commencement; experience in working with clients with spinal cord injuries and/or other neurological injuries/disabilities (preferred but not essential); the ability to show initiative, work independently and unsupervised; current national police clearance; current first aid certificate; current drivers' licence and reliable vehicle; manual handling certificate; excellent written and verbal English skills; and the ability to show initiative, work independently and unsupervised.
