Speech Pathologist to Autism and SLD Assessor Millstream Paediatric Developmental Services Mount Pleasant, Perth WA Speech Therapy (Healthcare and Medical) Full time 80,000 to 120,000 per year Millstream Paediatric Developmental Services in Mount Pleasant is seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to assess for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and specific learning disorder (SLD) literacy, within a multidisciplinary team. Permanent part-time or full-time, working from the clinic, as well as regional work. What you'll be doing Complete diagnostic autism assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team with a psychologist and paediatrician. Completing diagnostic specific learning disorder assessments also in a multidisciplinary team with a psychologist. Assess using the ADOS-2, ADI-R, clinical interviewing, language assessments, observations and liaison with stakeholders. Complete differential diagnostic assessment associated with speech and language difficulties. Collaborate within the multidisciplinary team to formulate presentations. Prepare comprehensive multidisciplinary reports with quality assurance and peer review processes to support you. Provide feedback to families, including discussion of recommendations and next steps. Maintain detailed clinical records. Assessing from the clinic in Mount Pleasant, with some team-based regional work that can include drive-in-drive-out and fly-in-fly-out work with your team. If desired, a clinical intervention case load can be engaged. What we're looking for An experienced and confident speech pathologist who completes autism assessments and speech and language assessments for children and adolescents. Willing to learn aspects of SLD assessment. Has a strength in report writing and general documentation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and the multidisciplinary team. Willing and available for intermittent regional assessments that can include drive-in/drive-out (DIDO) and fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) with a team. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team. Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development. Culturally sensitive and family-centred practice.
