Structural Engineer/Senior/Principal,

who will be required to work on a

Permanent

basis in

Hattersley . Role Purpose: Our client is looking to expand the Engineering team with

Structural Engineers at Engineer, Senior or Principal level , based at Hattersley or within any of the UK regions with hybrid working available. Working nationally, the variety of design challenges from a business covering 9 water frameworks is great for someone who thrives on unique challenges and exciting projects.You will report directly to the Structures Lead (Hattersley) and your role will provide superior quality Engineering Design services to allow the company to minimise risks and maximise profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts. The individual must coordinate the design and produce Structural design documents and drawings taking due account of health and safety requirements, specifications and standards pertaining to the contract.Responsibilities

Production of structural design calculations for all aspects of Water Treatment and Sewage Treatment plants, including both new build and modifications to existing plants Review of structural content of construction drawings/models Review of subcontract design proposals, ensuring all work is considered for buildability, standardisation and DfMA, and for safety on site complying with CDM regulationsReinforced concrete and steelwork design to all relevant Eurocodes and British Standards; coordination and liaison within a multi-discipline organisation including construction oversight and site support Work to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the discipline Resource planning and responsibility for project delivery within budget and programmeCoordination of designs with other disciplines and use of resources both internal and external Provide support to civil design staff Provide support to help develop junior staff Ensure designs take account of environmental issues Assist in improving processes and procedures Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

Strong structural engineering design background, including technical detailing for Water Treatment and Sewage Treatment Projects A proven track record of structural engineering within the water sector with a desire to work in a design and build environment Good knowledge of structural analysis and ability to use Microsoft Excel and design software such as StaadPro and Tekla TEDDSDegree qualified in Civil and/or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) Membership of a relevant professional institution Good track record for the design of water retaining structures to construction standard using Eurocodes Good working knowledge of CDM and construction Health&Safety This role is office based but may require some travelling within the UK occasionally Chartered or nearing chartership Experience of working for a global organisation Experience of working with remote/dispersed teams Experience in the Water/Wastewater Treatment Industry Ability to embrace collaborative and innovative workingKnowledge of BIM procedures and techniques; wider experience of structural design across the construction industry Experience of outline and tender structural design Car/car allowance (depends on job) 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays (with an additional 5 days available to buy) Life Assurance Health InsurancePrivate Medical Insurance And many more benefits including– cycle to work scheme, discounts and savings Hub, Kids Pass etc Company information
