Financial Controller, Mahikeng

Location: North West Job Summary The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The role supports senior management by providing reliable financial information and maintaining the integrity of the organisation’s financial systems.Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts in accordance with UK accounting standardsEnsure compliance with tax requirements, including VAT, PAYE and Corporation Tax Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial governance frameworks Manage cash flow, banking relationships and balance sheet reconciliations Lead the year-end audit process and act as the main point of contact for external auditorsSupport budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities Monitor financial performance, investigate variances and provide clear analysis to management Develop, manage and mentor finance team members Improve financial processes, systems and reporting efficiency Additional hours may be required during month-end and year-end closeQualifications&Experience Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Significant experience in a similar financial control or accounting role Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and financial reporting Experience working with accounting systems and ERP platformsSkills&Competencies Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Effective leadership and team management abilities Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Clear communication skills with both finance and non-finance stakeholdersHigh standards of integrity and professionalism If you are interested in this role, please contact us to discuss further.
