Job Overview Opportunity with a leading graphics company in Manchester.
Responsibilities
Attend client meetings such as pre‑production as necessary.
Establish and maintain high‑quality standards for all production processes, workflows, and client deliverables.
Ensure accurate, consistent, and timely completion of basic to intermediate artwork, using industry‑standard software and pre‑press/print techniques.
Perform assigned tasks within the overall production workflow and budget according to:
Work order specifications
Industry and company standard operating procedures (SOPs)
The company’s quality standards
Client brand guidelines and standards
Maintain up‑to‑date project information in the tracking system (e.g., ONE!), including project plan details, time spent, and quality issues.
Meet quality standards for all assigned deliverables and recommend improvements in reports, tools, processes, and assigned tasks.
Develop strong internal partnerships, collaborate across the organization, and support team members across all levels.
Take ownership of personal actions and outcomes, encouraging and empowering others to do the same.
Embrace change, remain flexible and adaptable in ambiguous situations.
Focus on achieving SMART objectives aligned with the company’s strategic imperatives.
Seek opportunities to increase knowledge, skills, and abilities, and pursue career development.
Support company profitability by ensuring quality standards of completed production activities meet original client specifications.
Perform other duties as needed to meet business requirements.
Overall, ensure agreed‑upon quality standards are met in final layouts for basic to intermediate production assignments, executing digital and analogue techniques under client project team direction, and ensuring on‑time delivery of ENCP and/or INCP production requirements.
Qualifications / Requirements
Secondary school Diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience sufficient to perform key responsibilities.
Computer graphics certification preferred.
Experience in the graphics arts industry, photo or design studio/agency environment, or related manufacturing field (printing, pre‑press) is a plus.
Basic knowledge of company products, solutions, and services a plus.
Basic understanding of market and business environment affecting assigned clients.
Basic to proficient in photo and color manipulation techniques (color separations, RGB‑CMYK conversion, profiling, trapping, bleeding).
Basic to proficient in pre‑press and print production techniques (color separation, trapping, bleeding, stepping, color rotation, file resolution, RIP).
Basic to proficient in pre‑media and/or creative services solutions.
Strong people, organizational, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with computer software: Apple Mac and operating systems, MS Office Suite, Adobe Design Suite, Acrobat, QuarkXpress, project management software, Agile, and related tools.
Ability to interpret brand guidelines through to artwork execution (digital, photographic, etc.).
Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients (printers, manufacturers, service providers).
Ability to work well in a team environment, handle a heavy workload, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
