A hands-on technical leadership role responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations, ensuring the lodge remains fully functional, safe, and maintained to 5-star luxury standards in a remote safari environment. Key Responsibilities

Oversee all maintenance operations across the lodge and staff areas Ensure facilities, buildings, and infrastructure are maintained to 5-star standards Lead and supervise the maintenance team and allocate daily tasks Implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdownsCoordinate repairs, renovations, and upgrades with lodge management Manage maintenance budgets and control costs effectively Source and procure maintenance materials and supplies Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Maintain water systems, electrics, plumbing, and general lodge infrastructureSupport asset protection and ensure equipment longevity Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting Skills Required

Strong technical knowledge (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, general maintenance) Excellent leadership and team supervision ability Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills Strong organizational and planning ability Ability to work under pressure in remote environments Hands-on, practical approach to maintenance operationsRequirements

Proven experience as Maintenance Manager or Senior Maintenance Technician Experience in a luxury lodge / hospitality environment essential Strong all-round technical maintenance capability Ability to manage teams and contractors effectively Willingness to live-in and work flexible hours Key Attributes
