Location Victoria, BC Salary 36.70 hourly / 40 hours per week Full time Starts as soon as possible Languages English Education Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience 2 years to less than 3 years Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Responsibilities: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials Prepare tenders and quotations Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware Schedule and co-ordinate work s Survey building Location s and levels Instruct apprentices Supervise other workers Estimate costs and materials Operate CADD and other computer software systems Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments Until: 2025-12-26
