POSITION: Trails / Apprentice Trails Guide
ABOUT POSITION:
A private game reserve in the Musina region is seeking a passionate and motivated Trails / Apprentice Trails Guide to join the team.
The successful candidate must have a genuine passion for wildlife, conservation, and guest interaction, with the ability to deliver exceptional guiding experiences within a Big 5 environment. This role is ideal for an energetic and professional individual who works well within a close-knit team and thrives in a bush environment.

REQUIREMENT:
- Valid Driver’s License and PDP essential
- Apprentice Trails Guide qualification essential
- ARH completion essential
- Valid First Aid certification
- Previous experience guiding in a Big 5 environment
- Strong guest interaction and hosting skills
- Professional, adaptable, and guest-focused approach
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Genuine passion for wildlife and conservation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct guided safari activities professionally and safely
- Deliver informative and memorable guest experiences
- Ensure guest safety during all guiding activities
- Share knowledge of wildlife, birdlife, and conservation
- Maintain guiding equipment and vehicles to lodge standards
- Assist with reserve and camp duties when required
- Uphold lodge standards and conservation principles
- Work closely with the lodge team to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain professionalism and excellent guest service at all times
PACKAGE:
- R10,000 – R12,000 (Negotiable – DOE)
- Live-in position
