Job Description

Assist the Depot Manager with daily depot operations to ensure efficiency and productivity

Support the implementation and maintenance of operational, safety, and maintenance standards

Oversee and assist with ground preparation, silo bag layout, and measurement processes

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices

Coordinate fumigation and grain grading processes in line with industry standards

Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime

Supervise and support staff, ensuring effective task allocation and performance management

Maintain accurate administrative records and operational documentation

Identify and mitigate operational risks within the depot environment

Assist in planning and executing depot activities to meet operational targets

Ensure a safe and well‑maintained working environment at all times

Qualifications

Agricultural tertiary qualification

Relevant certifications in:

Fumigation

Grading of wheat

Health and Safety accreditation

3–5 years’ experience in a silo bag or assistant depot management role

Strong operational background with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment

Solid staff management and interpersonal skills

Preventative maintenance mindset within an agricultural environment

Good planning, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities

Strong administrative skills

Self‑managed, proactive, and detail‑oriented

Sound understanding of agricultural risks, specifically within a wheat‑focused environment

Experience with On Farm Depots (OFDs) will be advantageous
