Warehouse Manager, Paarl

An energetic, motivated individual is required to be employed in the role of warehouse manager Applicant must have relevant experience in a warehouse environment and these specific skills : Excellent administrative ability and organisational skills Work proficiently on a laptop, managing email communications, spreadsheets etc– training on our in-house electronic delivery note program will be provided.Logistics and supply chain management Strong communication and problem-solving ability. Ability to drive a Hyster. The role will entail managing all key aspects of the Warehouse, with core responsibilities being : Responsibilities

Preparing customer orders- overseeing and giving instructions on the preparation and delivery of customer orders Inventory management- managing the receipt and offloading of stock / containers. Checking and making note of any damages upon receipt. Stock control, stocktakes, stock rotation, management of stock variances.Quality Control- conducting quality control tests on stock received (training will be provided)&making records of this and giving feedback to the relevant parties. Warehouse layout, housekeeping– ensuring that the warehouse layout is in order and organised and well as managing daily housekeeping. Supervision of warehouse staff- managing the warehouse team and setting their daily tasks and duties.Logistics- managing of delivery routes as well as planning the off loading and delivery dates of stock received. Safety and compliance– ensuring health and safety rules and regulations are followed. Equipment checks and maintenance- managing the service history and conducting equipment safety checks on the Hyster and delivery vehicles / trailers.
