Logistics and Systems Coordinator, Paarl, South Africa

GrapeHub is a fast-growing fruit import & export company with offices based in Europe (Netherlands) and South Africa. The company currently has an exciting opportunity (based in Paarl) for a Logistics and Systems Coordinator (fresh produce / FMCG). The successful candidate assumes a highly administrative function and will be working with suppliers from around the world to ensure timely delivery, and operational efficiency in a fast-moving, time-sensitive environment. The candidate will work in a team of two and will report to the Commercial Director.

Responsibilities:

• Full administrative function of logistics
• Capture and manage supply and shipment data from international suppliers within the ERP system accurately and timeously
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for fresh produce, including transport planning and cold chain considerations
• Liaise with global suppliers, freight forwarders, service providers, and customers to ensure timely deliveries
• Monitor shipment timelines and proactively address delays or disruptions
• Maintain high standards of data integrity across all logistics and system processes
• Support stock control and inventory visibility for perishable goods
• Work closely with commercial and operational teams to align supply with customer demand
• Ensure compliance with relevant import/export and documentation requirements

Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma: Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Experience in the South African and/or European fruit industries will be advantageous
• Understanding of international logistics and supply chain processes (experience in fresh produce is advantageous)
• Highly organised, accurate and detail-oriented
• Excellent administrative and planning skills
• Adaptability in fast paced environment
• Strong computer literacy skills (Basic Excel, ERP system and WMS experience in a logistics or supply chain environment)
• Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
• Ability to work across different time zones and cultures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly pressurised environment, handling times-sensitive and perishable goods
• Well-developed prioritisation and multi-tasking ability
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Team player with a strong customer focus and sense of urgency
• Adaptable and eager to learn in a continuously evolving global market
