Overview

As a Barman and Relief Butler, you will be responsible for serving our guests and ensuring they receive a world class experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and greeting guests on arrival
• Perform consistent service and always maintain a high standard
• Be aware of all menu changes and dietary requirements of the guests
• Support optimal communication between the kitchen and service team
• Upsell and recommend items to the guests
• Obey Liquor regulations
• Assist in any other department when needed
• Report all guest complaints to the Lodge Lead

Requirements

• No less than 5 years experience in a similar role
• Previous experience working in a 5* establishment
• World class level of F&B customer service in a luxury environment
• Knowledge in wine, cocktails and food
• Experience in wine pairing and cocktail development

Technical skills

• Good communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent attention to detail

Position Details

• Contract type: Permanent & on site
• Site: Thornybush Game Lodge (Hoedspruit)
• Work Cycle: 6 weeks on : 2 weeks off
• Benefits: Provident Fund
• Salary: Cash + 7.5% provident fund contribution
