Responsible Pharmacist– Candidate Profile Summary We are seeking a manufacturing-focused Responsible Pharmacist to join our Howick facility. This role focuses on compliance, quality control, and building a manufacturing operation aligned with SAHPRA requirements and future FDA/export standards.

Core Requirements SAPC registered Responsible Pharmacist Strong experience in manufacturing (this must be a core strength) Knowledge of GMP, QA/QC systems, SOPs, batch records, audits, and documentation Experience with SAHPRA certification or regulatory processes Understanding of FDA or export-aligned standardsAbility to implement and manage compliant manufacturing systems

Preferred Experience Herbal medicine, natural products, or supplements Facility setup, improvement, or commissioning SAHPRA inspections, licensing, or audits Exposure to FDA-aligned manufacturing or export environments

Key Responsibilities Oversee manufacturing operations and compliance Maintain quality control systems and documentation Manage batch release and production standards Support facility design and setup Ensure audit and inspection readiness Guide the business toward export-level standards

Strategic Importance This role will play a key part in building a compliant manufacturing facility and scaling operations toward both SAHPRA and international standards.

Additional Value (Secondary) A strong advantage would be someone confident communicating externally. This includes explaining manufacturing processes, product quality, and standards clearly to customers. The individual may also act as a credible, professional face of the brand on social media or in educational content. This remains secondary to the core manufacturing and regulatory responsibilities.
