Description
Purpose of the role To develop and implement an IT Strategy that enables the company’s IT investment to satisfy business requirements. This role is responsible for management of IT staff and the administration of all IT systems, support functions, related IT infrastructure and IT expenditure.
Key Performance Areas
Create and manage an IT strategy that incorporates OT, AI, Cloud and Data.
Streamline IT operations and implement innovative solutions to meet business objectives.
Lead and mentor the IT team, providing guidance and support for professional development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend strategic upgrades.
Manage IT budgets and vendor relationships including contract negotiations and SLAs with 3rd party service providers.
Manage IT projects from planning to execution within budget and timelines.
Collaborate with Head Office to implement synergies.
Educate and inform all stakeholders about IT business initiatives and the value IT can add to business operations by ensuring optimisation across all units.
Oversee ICT (Industrial Control Systems) to ensure proper governance and control over manufacturing IT systems and integration into Corporate IT.
Prepare and present reports monthly and quarterly to the Executive Committee and IT Steering Committee.
Prepare, plan and review all IT audit requirements, policies, procedures and ensure mitigation strategies are in line with company goals and objectives.
Make recommendations about the purchase of technology resources and research current and potential resources and services.
Manage and oversee cybersecurity initiatives to protect and secure company’s digital assets.
Ensure data security, integrity, compliance, and disaster recovery readiness.
Facilitate process automation and optimal system performance.
Oversee software and hardware procurement, installation, and maintenance.
Oversee the ERP environment and ensure stability of the ERP system.
Manage timely ERP upgrades, patches, integrations and vendor support activities.
Oversee integrations into third party systems and ensure data and system integrity.
Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions and support technology needs.
Close gaps and eliminate inefficiencies and risks identified in business process reviews.
Introduce and support implementation of digital transformation initiatives.
Manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and systems.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to maintain a stable and highly available environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
Experience with cloud platforms, virtualization, and enterprise software.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proven experience managing ERP systems and software development projects.
Strong background in database design, software development, Business and Systems Analysis
Managing a JDE ERP environment would be advantageous.
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and security.
Strong knowledge of networking, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity.
Strong knowledge of Operational Technology (OT)
Skills / Attributes
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Ability to manage budgets and deliver projects on time.
