Projects Director Cooper McCullough Group Buddina, Sunshine Coast QLD Programme and Project Management (Information and Communication Technology) Full time Low application volume Projects Director - Civil Construction Cooper Mccullough Group are a well-established and growing civil construction company delivering projects all across Central Queensland. With a strong forward pipeline of work, we are seeking an experienced Projects Director to provide strategic leadership, drive project performance, and support continued business growth. This is a senior leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys balancing site presence with high-level commercial and operational oversight. About the Role As Projects Director, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple civil construction projects across the region. You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and the Senior Leadership team to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The role is Monday to Friday, with an expectation to be site based approximately three days per week, maintaining strong visibility and engagement with site teams. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership across multiple civil construction projects Oversee project delivery from pre-contract through to completion Ensure strong safety performance and compliance across all sites Drive commercial outcomes, cost control, and risk management Mentor and support Project Managers and project teams Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors Contribute to business planning, resourcing, and future work forecasting Ensure systems, processes, and reporting align with company standards About You You will be a proven senior leader with extensive experience in the civil construction sector and a strong understanding of project delivery in regional or remote environments. You will ideally have: Extensive experience in senior project or operations leadership roles Strong background in civil construction projects (earthworks, infrastructure, mining or similar) Proven commercial and contract management capability Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Ability to balance strategic oversight with practical, site-based decision making Relevant engineering or construction qualifications (highly regarded) What’s on Offer Senior leadership role with real influence and autonomy Strong pipeline of ongoing and future projects Competitive remuneration package Opportunity to be part of a growing, values-driven business
