Junior Accountant– Port Alfred

Overview BVSA is looking for a dedicated and motivated Accountant to join our team in Port Alfred. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic and professional accounting environment that values excellence, integrity, and teamwork.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Drafting Annual Financial Statements for various entity types

Managing and planning multiple client tasks and deadlines

Preparing management accounts and supporting schedules

Reviewing monthly accounting records

Performing reconciliations and ensuring accuracy of financial data

Client communication and professional engagement

Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legislation

Timely submission of income tax, VAT and PAYE returns on e‑filing

Relevant accounting qualification (BCom Accounting or similar)

Completed SAIPA articles

Experience in drafting AFS (Auditmate advantageous)

Strong working experience on GreatSoft, Sage One, Xero, eFiling, SimplePay

Experience in Income tax, VAT and PAYE return submissions

Excellent organisational and planning abilities

Ability to work independently and manage a team

Attention to detail and accuracy

Good communication and client‑relation skills
