SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT MANAGER (IT AND CODING FIELD)

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a minimum of Matric
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science and/or Management
• Must be Proficient in PRINCE II / PM certification (ESSENTIAL)
• Must have a minimum of 5+ Years' experience in a software development project management role
• Must have working experience in delivering projects to scope, on time and in budget
• Must have working experience in people management, change management and risk management
• Must have working experienced in dealing with multiple projects concurrently in a very fast-paced environment
• Must be proficient in project management software
• Must have business analysis experience (Advantageous)
• Must have software development experience (Advantageous)
• Must have a valid driver's license (no endorsements)
• Must have own reliable vehicle to meet with clients
• Must have a clear criminal history

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

Main duties & Job Function:

• The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that every project is delivered on time, within budget and to scope.
• The Project Manager requires a background in business skills, management, analysis, and budgeting.
• The Project Manager will lead a team of 12 resources ranging from a Business Analyst, Junior to Senior Developers, a Mobile developer, and 2 consultants
• The Project Manager will form part of the management team

Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities: -

• Provide leadership and direction to the team of software developers, quality assurance and support staff
• Lead, manage and control the execution of multiple concurrent projects
• Facilitate daily scrum with the various development teams
• Create, manage, and maintain project schedules
• Organize team and plan resourcing
• Manage and control project budgets and costs
• Control project scope and manage change requests
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate risk throughout the project
• Track and communicate project progress to key stakeholders
• Develop and evolve project management processes and best practices
• Work closely with the customer and internal management from pre-sales through final implementation.
