Warehouse/Store Manager, Port Elizabeth

Location: Port Elizabeth

Minimum Qualifications:

• Matric
• Certificate in Warehouse Management would be advantageous
• At least 4-5 years' experience in a similar/same role.
• Driver License and Forklift License
• No criminal record

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Warehouse/Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a store, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively.

• Ensure receiving process is followed by checking confirmed receipts and inspection of goods.
• Co-ordinate offloading and ensure document controls are in place.
• Ensure photos are taken of all truck loads leaving and arriving. This needs to be filed to ensure that transporters can be charged for damage to stock.
• Maintain store staff job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees, planning and monitoring.
• Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing a report with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
• Ensure availability of merchandise and services by maintaining inventories.
• Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.
• Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
• Deliver excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
• Prepare detailed reports on buying trends and customer requirements.
• Complete all transactions on Pastel system
• Cycle counts and stock take management
• Continuous improvement projects
• Practice Health and Safety daily
• Planning daily tasks
• Draw up SOP's and work instructions
• Must be able to work flexible hours
• Manage inbound and outbound deliveries.
