PANEL BEATER

Job Overview 

The panel beater will be responsible for final finishing and aligning of panels on composite and/or

steel vehicle body, boot, bonnet, and doors. The work must be done according to a given specification and / or quality standard as required for paint shop approval.

Must have worked with fiberglass.

THE INCUMBENTS' PRIMARY DUTIES WILL BE TO:

General: (but not limited to the following)

• Applying and sanding body filler on composite vehicle bodies.
• Should be able to fulfil the function of a finish on vehicle bodies.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as a Panel Beater.
• Previous experience in finishing composite cars would be highly advantageous.
• Good manual skills, accuracy, and precision.
• Physically capable of performing primary duties.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Contactable references.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• 1 Grade 10 -12.
• 2 Two -Three years' experience in Panel Fitment, Metal and GRP Body Finishing.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION THAT WOULD BE HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS:

• Qualified Trade Test.
